Residents enjoy a Christmas Eve visit from Reindeer, Lightening

Residents and family members at Community Integrated Care’s EachStep Blackley Care Home in Manchester have had a busy run up to the Christmas Holidays, which has included a visit from Royal Northern College of Music, a Christmas Fayre, Christmas Grotto and finally on Christmas Eve, a visit from Lightening, the Reindeer.

Residents and family members, young and old, have certainly enjoyed all the events and activities but were particularly pleased to meet with the reindeer, feeding him carrots and chatting with ‘Elf Elena’ from Welly Bob Farm in Darwin.

Brian Hassall and his wife Mary were delighted to see the Reindeer. Mary said “This is so lovely for the residents to enjoy with family members, whether young or old. I’ll be sending a copy of the photo to family to enjoy!”

Liz Irving, Deputy Manager at EachStep Blackley said.

“At EachStep Blackley we know how special Christmas can be for both our Residents and family members, with lots of memories shared of Christmas’s past and making new memories. We always have a full calendar of activities and events that everyone can enjoy.”

Tracy Johnson , Community Integrated Care Operation Director said
